Ordering a Dress from LuaSarcy
Ordering a Bridal Gown from LuaSarcy is a very special experience. We will begin the process by discussing silhouettes of gowns with you, the Bride, and your family or friends if you wish. At this stage we will discuss flattering lines and begin to sketch up a gown design just for you. When we have settled on a gown silhouette we will take all your measurements and leave to create a 'toile'. This is a basic mock-up of your future wedding dress, made in plain fabric, and is solely used to adjust the fit and the style of your gown. When we meet again we can then fit the toile to you. At this meeting we will have a variety of dresses based upon the ideas we discussed, along with any fabric samples and trims that have been selected. Here we will finalise the final style of your wedding dress. At this point we will then create a full toile of your wedding dress. This will include all layers and the complete style of your dress, but in a substitute fabric and without embellishments. Once this dress is complete we will then fit the dress again on you, and so long as the final design is approved we will then begin the exciting process of making your dream dress. Once the dress is almost finished we will do a 'final fit'. This fit is purely to check that everything fits you like a glove and is perfect. It is at this point when we will make any small alterations to your gown that are necessary before your big day.
Collection
Once completed we will welcome you to come and try on and collect your dress, or we can hand-deliver it to you for a small charge.
Unfortunately we are not able to hand deliver overseas unless there is prior arrangement.
We will not send wedding dresses by post as although we would insure any wedding dress to its full value, sadly we would not be able to reproduce your dress in the time before your wedding should anything go wrong.
Pricing
We take a small deposit for the initial sketches, and then once the design and toile are finalised we take a 30% deposit of the full cost of the wedding dress. Full payment must be received and cleared when the dress is handed over.
Prices for our Bridal Gowns vary due to the bespoke nature of our service, but start from £1500 for full-length gowns.
With prior arrangement we may be able to make ourselves available in the week running up to your wedding incase there are any small alterations needed.
If you wish to order your attendants outfits to be made by us please let us know as early in the ordering process as possible. LuaSarcy also can create accessories for your groom and groomsmen, such as ties, handkerchiefs and cufflinks in a fabric that compliments the bridal party.
Finally, we believe that creating your dream wedding dress should be an amazing experience and we will do our absolute best to make sure that everything is as perfect for you as it can possibly be.
