We are Sara Jane Goodwin and Lucy Jane Hunter and apart from sharing the same middle name and a love of fashion and chocolate, we share a small company called LuaSarcy.
We graduated from Winchester School of Art with an Hons Degree (one each not one between us!) in Fashion design. We both exhibited on the catwalk at Graduate Fashion Week where Sara was nominated for the Zandra Rhodes Textile Award for her embroidery. While Lucy found her feet in the world of creative, computer-aided pattern cutting, Sara spent two months at Julien Macdonald helping towards his London Fashion week collection. Sara missed Lucy far too much!! and decided to come and find her pattern cutting feet working along side Lucy! It was in this period of time that LuaSarcy began, originally from freelance work with a sideline in plush handmade creature creating.
The business became a serious pursuit as Sara moved from London to Leamington to get married, and took to LuaSarcy full time. We are now a specialist company working in bespoke wedding, evening and formal wear which is all hand cut, fitted and made in England.
